Which Will Happen First?

Namely, Manny Ramirez' 497th home run or Mike Lowell's first RBI of 2008?

Both look really frustrated lately, especially Lowell. Manny's been stuck on 496 for over two weeks, and Mike just came off the DL last Tuesday. But the rest of the cast has picked it up nicely, and wailed on so-called Red Sox killer Scott Kazmir yesterday in his first start of the season as the Sox swept the upstart Rays, 7-3. (EVERY time I see Kazmir in Rays uniform I think to myself, "What the hell were the Mets thinking on July 30, 2004?")

David Ortiz got the day off to rest his knee, as Dustin Pedroia continued his torrent resurgence, and Jacoby Ellsbury scored twice and stole two bases. Jon Lester got his second win of the year in going six innings, allowing just a home run to Carlos Pena.

Now the Red Sox hit the road to Detroit, Minnesota and Baltimore, with Daisuke Matsuzaka going tonight at Comerica.
