A Special Remembrance at Battery Park

I received an email today about a special event going on this weekend and into next week at Battery Park. A group called NYC911 Memorial Field is setting up over 3000 US flags in the park today in honor of the 9/11 victims, and it will be open to the public tomorrow. It will be available to the public until September 13.

There will also be a Semi Trailer there called The World Memorial, and it has the names of all the 9/11 victims there on the truck. The truck has all different types of remembrances on it for all the victims. Last year they did something very similar to this in Inwood Hill Park (pictured), and this year it will be in Battery Park.

The group has a web site about it you can check out:

I'll be down in Lower Manhattan this weekend, as well as this coming Tuesday. I look forward to seeing them. It should be something special.
