Trivia Q&A: February 15

It looked like we would have the smallest crowd for Trivia Night in some time on Tuesday night, but fortunately we had some folks come in as we were playing, and had 11 teams take part in total. (My friend Jim had a theory before the night started that we might be suffering from some post-Valentine's Day blues, with many folks staying home. I think he was right.)

The bar was crowded when we completed the night and it got louder and more spirited as the longer it went on. We had a really close race to the finish, with four teams withing three points of each other heading into IQ Trivia. But the team of Happy Birthday Abe and Mike! managed to squeak out the win by just two points, getting a total of 41 points. Nice job getting back to the winner's circle, guys. And a happy birthday to trivia regular Mike as well!

Second place wound up a tie at 39 points between What's Berlusconi's Age Divided By 2 Plus 7 and Snow: Part II The Snow-Quel. So we broke the tie with this tie breaker question: What is the total number of the age of the oldest US president on his last day in office plus the age of the youngest US president on the day he took the oath of office? The answer was 119 (Ronald Reagan was 77 and Teddy Roosevelt was 42.) What Berlusconi's Age nailed it on the nose and got second place.

Hey John,

From wikipedia:

The pressure of the crocodile's bite is more than 5,000 pounds per square inch (30,000 kPa),[8] compared to just 335 pounds per square inch (2,300 kPa) for a rottweiler, 400 pounds per square inch (2,800 kPa) for a large great white shark, 800 pounds per square inch (6,000 kPa) to 1,000 pounds per square inch (7,000 kPa) for a hyena, or 2,000 pounds per square inch (10,000 kPa) for a large alligator.

I believe we're owed a pitcher of Thoms Ale.

Dan: I like Trivia Night players who do their homework! I actually got the question from a trivia calendar I own. They'll be getting a nasty note from me! See you next Tuesday.
