Pedroia Gets Locked Up

No, he's not going to the same place that Plaxico Burress is heading. The Red Sox signed current AL MVP Dustin Pedroia to a six-year, $40.5 million deal. A great move by the Red Sox, as it is one of the biggest deals ever to player not yet eligible for free agency, and it takes Pedroia through his three arbitration years and first two free agent eligible seasons. He's signed through 2014, with a $11 million option for 2015.

Here's more from ESPN.
