It was a big success last year on my blog, so let's do it again and begin a tradition. Here is the famous "Yule Log," that has been a staple of WPIX-TV here in New York for many years. It debuted in 1966, left the air for a few years in the 1990s, but popular demand brought it back to the air. It will be on TV at 9 AM on Christmas morning (and it will be followed by the classic film, "March of the Wooden Soldiers" of course). Unfortunately I have no music for you to enjoy.
So here is the second annual Mighty Quinn Media Machine Yule Log. I hope you enjoy the crackling fire anyway. Have a Merry Christmas.

And I thought my computer was getting warm! Hey you----happy and healthy holidays to you and yours!..Pete
Peter and Christine: I wish you both health and happiness this holiday season. Thanks always for dropping by!
Merry Christmas, John! Can't wait to put on the new Ellsbury shirt my folks sent me!
Merry Christmas, Matty. And I can't wait to use my new Red Sox wallet, key chain and long sleeve t-sirt, too!
Wow, with all those great Sox presents, we're solidly in the very middle of RSN. Ain't that great!!!
Gee, I wish our cable system still carried PIX. I remember having that on in the background years ago.
And I wish someone around here would carry the movie, too.
Merry Christmas, Q.
It's what I love most about Christmas, Suldog. Sorry you couldn't get a chance to see the Yule Log or March of the Wooden Soldiers. I guess traditions have always meant a lot to me.
Happiest of holidays to you, Suldog and Peter.
In '04, I thought, "I know what I'm getting for Xmas this year..." Yet for some reason, I got no Red Sox stuff that year. (People must've noticed that I pretty much bought it all myself.) But this year, it was like a 90 per cent Red Sox present rate. Go figure.
Thanks for the Yule Log! I miss seeing it up here out of PIX land. Hey, do you remember those video games they used to show where a kid would call up and say PIX over and over again to drop bombs or throw footballs or whatever?
My pleasure to present the Yule Log, Jere.
I vaguely remember that "PIX" thing with the videos. I guess it happened a little while after I was into video games. I'm getting on in years...
