John Henry revealed yesterday that he was fined $500,000 by MLB for comments he made back in 2009 about baseball's revenue sharing system.
With thanks to the Joy of Sox, here is a story from the Boston Globe from December 2009 about what Henry originally said.
It boggles my mind that you can criticize the President of the United States, but you don't dare criticize Bud Selig or any of his minions. I guess if you aren't in perfect lockstep with them and have a different opinion they don't like, they will separate you from your money.
And now, MLB may actually levy some kind of punishment on Henry for revealing that he was fined for his original comments.
Beyond unbelievable.
