The Red Sox made their first round of cuts to their roster, sending a whole slew of players to their minor league camp. No real surprises here:
Catchers Ryan Lavarnway and Tim Federowicz; Infielders Oscar Tejeda, Brent Dlugach and Hector Luna; Outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin; and pitchers Jason Rice, Alex Wilson, Kyle Weiland, Tony Pena Jr, Stolmy Pimentel, and Cleveland Santeliz.
Today the Red Sox take on the Florida Marlins in Ft. Myers, but the big news is that Adrian Gonzalez plays in his game action with the Red Sox this spring. He will play first base and bat third, and should get just a couple of plate appearances before taking the rest of the game off.
