So much for just winning one series after another.
The lowly Minnesota Twins came back from a 5-1 deficit and beat the Red Sox last, 6-5 in 10 innings. The Sox blew many chances late in the game to take the lead after the score was tied, 5-5, but flushed them down the crapper.
Just like they have effectively done to the 2012 season.
Any momentum garnered from the series wins over Detroit and New York are gone.
Even if they win the last two games of this series, they can only split with Minnesota. Not good enough.
That's mediocre. Just like this team is.
