Curt Schilling revealed today on WEEI radio in Boston that he will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder. He's had a number of setbacks in his attempts to pitch again just by doing rehab, so he made the decision to have surgery on it next Monday.
This could also be the end of Schilling's career, as he turns 42 later this year. Well, if it does shut Schilling down for good, I will never forget this moment when I think of him:
Good luck with the surgery Curt. If this does end it for you, thanks for the memories. And especially for 2004.

Yes like some kind of romantic song song of praise "We'll always have the bloody sock."
"And one gargantuan Yankees choke, too"
