The Ring Thief's Back in L.A.

Or he will be if he makes the club. Eric Gagne signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers today.

Gagne will earn $500,000 if makes the team and could double that with incentives. He hasn't pitched in the majors since he took the Brewers for $10 million of their money in 2008.

Boy, I wonder what kind of reception he'll get if he's back with Los Angeles when they play the Red Sox at Fenway in June.

But it would probably be overshadowed by the return of that lovable goofball who used to play left field...

I was at the May 17th, '08 Saturday Afternoon Game. A mock chant of "We Want Gagne'", followed by "No You Don't" wafted all over Fenway Park, as The Red Sox destroyed The Milwaukee Brewers:

A Bumper sticker made the rounds saying "Gagne' Is A Yankee Spy";

This past Season, Eric was both a Starter & Pitching Coach for the Quebec City Capitales in the Can Am League;

He'll be appreciated as much as A-Rod-NOT.
