Another awful weekend.
Swept by a last-place club going nowhere.
The injuries mount, as Jon Lester may be done for the season.
This is the first time the Red Sox have lost 18 games in a month since 2000.
And this month isn't over yet.
On the other hand:
The Mets are up by 14 1/2 games, and are winning today.
Football season starts in two weeks.

Won it 8-3 & now are 80-49.
What teams do the Mets play again???? I seem to have forgotten in my disgust.

They'll be @ Coors Field in Denver, to play the CO Rockies for 3, then it's on to Houston for 3, maybe meeting up with Roger;
Then they open a series with the Braves @ Shea Stadium, on 9/4;
New Englanders will invade Shea on the weekends, as plenty of tickets are to be had at Fenway Park.
