The Senate Finally Comes To Their Senses

The sick 9/11 first responders finally have their Christmas miracle.

The Senate passed the James Zadroga bill today, which was named in honor of an NYPD detective who died from illnesses he contracted working at Ground Zero.

The bill will now be worth $4.3 billion. The Senate Republicans had been blocking the bill coming up for a vote. They finally came to their senses, and it really didn't have to come down to all this. But it has passed, and that's what is important.

It now goes to the House for a vote, and there it is expected to pass, and President Obama will then sign it into law.

Finally, our sick heroes will get the proper attention they so desperately need. Thank God.
