Good Stuff To Look Forward To

It's been a bizarre last few months to be a Red Sox fan for sure, but here's a few things to look forward to in 2012:

Truck Day: February 11
Pitchers and Catchers report: February 19 (now reflected in the countdown clock)
First Spring Training Game: March 3rd vs. Northeastern and Boston College (twinbill)
First Game against MLB teams: March 4th vs. Minnesota
2012 Opener: April 5th in Detroit
2012 Home Opener: April 13th vs. Tampa Bay

The Sox play the Evil Empire twice in March: the 13th in Tampa and the 22nd in Ft. Myers. They conclude Spring Training on April 3rd in Washington DC against the Nationals.

Here is the complete Spring Training schedule.

Congratulations to Jacoby Ellsbury, who finished second in the AL MVP voting to Justin Verlander, the first pitcher to win it since The Eck took home the honors in 1992. It was close. Adrian Gonzalez finished seventh and Dustin Pedroia finished ninth.
