It's Officially a Losing Season

The total crapfest that has been the Minnesota Vikings 2011 season continued on Sunday, as the Atlanta Falcons whipped on the Vikings, 24-14 in the Georgia Dome.

Adrian Peterson was wisely kept in street clothes, as his high ankle sprain kept him out.

The Vikings are now 2-9, and the last time they lost 9 of 11 to begin a season was in 1961, their inaugural season. Will they match 1984, their worst season ever? They went 3-13 in the Les Steckel Era (it was one season only, thankfully). They have Denver, New Orleans, Washington, Chicago and Detroit left.

Tim Tebow's Flying Circus comes to the Metrodome next Sunday.
