Today would have been George Harrison's 68th birthday. Still hard to believe that he's been gone nearly a decade now.
The Quiet Beatle also had a great sense of humor, and was also a huge Monty Python fan. He was the executive producer of "The Life of Brian" and also had a part in the very funny Beatles takeoff written by Eric Idle, "The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash." He played an interviewer named Eric Manchester, and in this clip he chats with Michael Palin while people are stealing from the Rutles company behind them, and he also interviews Ron Wood at the end of this clip.
We miss you, George.

John, you know how much I love the Beatles and I always miss this date. Thank you. When I heard that George had passed away from cancer, I gently weeped.
Somewhere outside, I heard something, but I swear it sounded like it came from above, George's view of heaven. I believe it. I miss him.
