Time to Hand Out the Awards

It's that time of the year again when Major League Baseball hands out its annual awards. On Monday, the first two awards will be announced, and that is the AL and NL Rookie of the Year awards.
Here are my choices for the awards and the days they will be announced:

Nov. 12: AL Rookie of the Year: Dustin Pedroia
NL Rookie of the Year: Ryan Braun
Nov. 13: AL Cy Young: Josh Beckett
Nov. 14: AL Manager of the Year: Eric Wedge
NL Manager of the Year: Bob Melvin
Nov. 15: NL Cy Young: Jake Peavy
Nov. 19: AL MVP: Alex Rodriguez
Nov. 20: NL MVP: Matt Holliday

Some of them are slam dunks, but others are close races. It should be interesting to see who comes away with the hardware.

Hang in there, Kaylee!

Face facts, Rodriguez had the best all-around year of any player in the AL, like him or not. He should win MVP pretty easily.

You are allowed to let your Sox Bias show on one pick (Beckett)

Sabathia had many more innings and a lower ERA. That is not to say that if I had to hang my hat on one guy to pitch a big game that it would certainly not be Sabathia. However, post season productiobn does not factor in the decision.

I will admit some bias there as far as Beckett goes, Dan. It's just a shame the postseason doesn't factor into the major awards.
