Congratulations to David Ortiz on having been awarded the 2011 Roberto Clemente Award for his charitable service. He becomes the second Red Sox player in as many years to win the award, as Tim Wakefield won last year.

And it was 36 years ago today that Carlton Fisk gained immortality:



And Theo Epstein might finally become president of the Cubs today, as a deal to send compensation from the Cubs to the Red Sox maybe close. Stay tuned.
