Yesterday at Ground Zero, the first steel beam was put in place at the site where the memorial for the 9/11 victims will be, at the northeast corner of the North Tower's footprint.
A 24-foot, 7700 pound steel column was laid there, and there is still hope that the September 11th Memorial and Museum will be completed by the 10th anniversary of the attacks in 2011.
I sincerely hope so.
