The Flyin' Hawaiian will be at Fenway next season.
The Red Sox signed another outfielder yesterday, with Shane Victorino agreeing to a three-year, $39 million deal with the Sox. (The same deal Mike Napoli agreed to on Monday.)
It is believed Victorino will play right field. But of course, he has plenty of experience in center. And that just maybe the case should the Sox find Jacoby Ellsbury a new home before the Winter Meetings end tomorrow (or even after that).
It is very clear that Ben Cherington is remaking the Sox with good players on shorter term deals, and guys with good clubhouse reputations. The lessons of the last two years have clearly been understood.
