Six of Seven

Not getting overly excited, but the Red Sox won yet another one-run contest at Fenway, a 2-1 win over Kansas City.

This was the eighth straight one-run win at Fenway, and the boys have now won six of their last seven.

Mike Napoli hit his 11th home run of the year, and Rubby De La Rosa pitched seven strong innings. Shane Victorino came off the DL and had one hit, and Mookie Betts returned to Pawtucket.

Jackie Bradley turned his sixth double play of the season, and continues to show he is a Gold Glove outfielder right now. He leads all outfielders will 11 assists and no other outfielder has as many as three DPs. (Thanks to Allan at Joy of Sox for that fact.)

Two solid wins since the All-Star break. The Sox are 6-1 since A. J. Pierzynski (who has cleared waivers and was released) left the team. Draw your own conclusions.
