No Playoffs. No Winning Record. Official On The Same Day.

The Red Sox were officially eliminated from any playoff possibility when they lost Sunday's series finale to Toronto, 5-0.

It seems like they were eliminated the moment Bobby Valentine was named manager, doesn't it?

Yesterday's loss was number 81, so it also means the Sox will not have a winning record for the first time since 1997.

And they are still on a pace to drop 90 for the first time since 1966. They are currently 66-81. Going 6-9 over the final 15 will accomplish that.

Bobby Valentine? Bloody hell. What were the Trio thinking?
