We had 20 teams in on our triumphant return to Tuesday night, and it was a crowded, noisy bar as well.
The numbers were a bit lower than I expected in the first three categories, but most teams did really well in the final two. The two teams that were tied for second place ran the table in the final round, and wound up tied for first with 48 points, so we went to a tie-breaker question: "How many satellites does Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, have?" The answer was 63, and the team of Josh Beckett's Off Day was closest and won the night. It was their first ever Trivia Night win.
Second place went to Squam Rock Land Trust, and third place went to Travolta Said If I Just Touched It I Could Be In Pulp Fiction 2 with 44 points.
Best Team Name: Yo Mama So Gay, Barack Obama Wants Her To Get Married
We back on Tuesday night again next week, May 22nd at 9 PM.

Hey John,
ReplyDeleteI've read your blog for the past year or so, mostly for the trivia. I also host a trivia night (in Baltimore) and on occasion I've used one of your questions.
Since I've only ever received, I thought I'd offer to give. If you'd like I could send the questions I use and you can feel free to use, repurpose or reject whatever you'd like. My format is a bit different from yours, but there are still some usable trivia in there.
Your hotmail account still working?
Rich B.
Nice to hear from you, Rich. You're the first Trivia host who has gotten back to me to tell me they have used my Q&A! Please feel free to use them, and yes, my hotmail address is working. I'd love to see some of the questions you use as well. Looking forward to hearing from you.
