Around The Wide World of Sports

This has been a crazy weekend for me, as I am working a movie in my background acting job, in Manhattan on Madison Avenue called "Man On a Ledge." I'm doing it over four weekends, and I have completed three of the six days I am doing it. (I have to be on set at 5 AM both Saturday and Sunday mornings, which is a real thrill. But I get to see many actors I have become friends with and share stories.)

So, here are a few things in my sports world with links that are going on:

Notre Dame upsets 15th ranked Utah in their final game at home in 2010. And I'm sorry I missed it.

Red Sox maybe interested in signing both Victor Martinez and Adrian Beltre. Very problematic with Beltre having Doctor Evil as his agent and mouthpiece.

Sox trade Dustin Richardson to Florida for lefty Andrew Miller. I guess Miller's worth a shot. Didn't cost them that much.

Adrian Beltre wins the Silver Slugger at 3B. Well-earned.

Captain Intangibles Wins the Gold Glove. OK, I'll stop beating a dead horse. But I'll give Denton from Surviving Grady the last word.

  2. Peter, I wrote here a little while ago that I was on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire last December. And it wasn't successful.
