Here's something you don't see every day.
A bench-clearing brawl during a game-winning home run.
It happened during a minor league game last week between Bakersfield and Visalia, and Engel Beltre, who was traded by the Red Sox to Texas as the minor leaguer in the infamous Eric Gagne trade of July 2007, hit a home run to win the game for Bakersfield. A number of opposing players didn't like Beltre's showboating and running his mouth off as he rounded the bases and let him know about it.
A brawl took place as he reached third base, and when it all settled down, it took Beltre over a minute to touch home after hitting the homer. And he gave everyone the finger just for good measure.
Beautiful. (With thanks to Deadspin for the video.)
