The voting for the final player to make the All-Star team has begun, and I'm pushing for a candidate in each league. Hideki Okajima is on the ballot of five players, all pitchers, to be included at the Midsummer Classic from the American League. The Darkman has been spectacular, so it would be great to see him go. From the National League, I'm pulling for Chris Young of the San Diego Padres to make it. He's also one of five pitchers bidding for that last spot. Since the Padres are my favorite team west of the Mississippi (and especially since my friends in San Diego love him), I hope he gets on the team.
Here's the complete ballot for both leagues:
American League
Jeremy Bonderman, DET
Kelvim Escobar, LAA
Roy Halladay, TOR
Pat Neshek, MIN
Hideki Okajima, BOS
National League
Tom Gorzelanny, PIT
Roy Oswalt, HOU
Brandon Webb, ARI
Chris Young, SD
Carlos Zambrano, CHI
