But the powers-that-be for the Twins did not want to hear the loud booing from their fans when Santana, or Santa, as the Mets fans should call him, pitches during the regular season in that dead ugly zone where the Twinkies play.
I hope this finds you well...we're winding up and geting close to Spring! 15 days until the Florida stuff materializes. They didn't have to part with Mike Pelfrey or Fernando Martinez, who is considered one of their best prospects. Mulvey is considered a pretty good prospect, as is Guerra. Humber may turn out to be a good pitcher, but he's not ready yet. I liked what I saw of Gomez, and he maybe ready to play full time now. I really thought the Mets would surrender higher quality talent. The trade really is a steal for them, SoSox.

BTW, thanks for the link on your site. I will put one up for you on mine as well.BklynSoxFanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17512844600688808055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24009374.post-36319689427594530282008-01-30T01:36:00.000-05:002008-01-30T01:36:00.000-05:00George doesn't own Santana:I'm happier than a clam...George doesn't own Santana:

I'm happier than a clam;

WHAT will George do for a Headline?Michael Leggetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07987710950659331609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24009374.post-27070496836615563952008-01-29T22:32:00.000-05:002008-01-29T22:32:00.000-05:00As a Mets fan, maybe you can shed some light on wh...As a Mets fan, maybe you can shed some light on what they gave up. Is it the steal it appears to be?
I checked on Humber's stats in 3A, they looked pretty good, but not stellar. The other 3 all looked pretty average, altho there's apparently some hype around the Gomez kid. Of course, all we can see is numbers, the office gets to talk to the coaches, who see the tools they have. Minor league numbers can be real decieving.SoSockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15982944966573089279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24009374.post-64971679045552890162008-01-29T18:56:00.000-05:002008-01-29T18:56:00.000-05:00I'm thrilled, Ken.
